(make an appointment at 02 35 74 35 35)
The documentation centre has works covering industrial heritage and history, as well as the history of techniques, primarily in relation to textiles and, more specifically:
- The industrial history of Haute–Normandie
- The history of the major textiles valleys, for example the Cailly valley and the Robec valley
- The history of cotton
- The history of textiles in the Haute-Normandie region. The topics of spinning, weaving, dyeing and printing are particularly well documented thanks to nineteenth-century technical works from the Library of the Industrial Society of Rouen.
- The history and techniques of rope making
- Economic and social aspects: child labour, working conditions...
